Facts

These facts were reported in a June 1939 meeting by a Miss Flueman, the state TB, worker.
 
Virginia had the 3rd highest death rate in the south, the 4th highest in the U.S.
T.B. work was not begun until 1919 much later than many other states.

Active TB cases   107
Inactive   121
TB Clinics    3
# of TB cases sent to sanitarium   4

The county health nurse, Miss Lnyda Bray was very helpful in the Spotsylvania are in eduction of prevention of TB  Numbers dropped of TB cases after direct contact, due the eduction between yrs 1935-1939.
